Kaizen charges a service fee of USD 800 per person for processing Taiwan work permits, and USD 250 per person for ARC. The fee specifically includes the following services:
1. Provide professional consultation for Taiwan Work Permit and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) application; 2. Review the application documents provided by the client; 3. Assist clients in preparing the documents required for application; 4. Fill out the work permit application forms and other documents; 5. Submit the work permit and ARC application documents to the Taiwan Workforce Development Agency and the Immigration Agency; 6. Communicate with the Taiwan Workforce Development Agency and the Immigration Agency during the application process; 7. Pay visa application fee and pick-up the work permit on client behalf; 8. Arrange for the delivery of the work permit and residence certificate to the client.
Our service fee does not include government charges, document translation fees, or document courier fees. The cost for the resident visa depends on the applicant’s nationality and location and will be quoted separately.

Artistic Work: Refers to engagement in the following activities within fields such as music, dance, fine arts, drama, literature, folk arts, crafts, environmental art, photography, broadcasting, film, etc.: (1) Employment of foreign nationals in non-performance-based artistic work, which requires actual art creation or public art exhibitions. (2) Employment of foreign nationals in teaching or sharing work, where the content shared pertains to the artistic fields (e.g., lectures or workshops). (3) Employment of foreign nationals in research, investigation, production, promotion, critique (review), competition, etc., within the artistic fields. 2. Mass Communication Performance Work: Refers to foreign nationals employed in performance work related to television, radio, film, or advertising, such as models, public entertainers (singers or actors involved in film shooting, music production promotion, or TV appearances), etc. 3. Public Performance Work: Refers to foreign nationals employed in performance activities other than those mentioned above, such as singers holding concerts or autograph sessions, performers participating in various arts and cultural events, or stationed public performers (e.g., amusement park performers, pub resident singers, etc., engaged in regular music or dance performances at specific venues).

Foreign nationals who wish to work in Taiwan and meet the following qualifications may be considered by the Taiwan Workforce Development Agency for a work permit: 1. The applicant must provide documentation of engagement in artistic or performance work, or recommendation or certification documents issued by official institutions of their home country. 2. The applicant's professional skills or educational background must match the qualifications and skills required for the position they are applying to fill.

Taiwan employers must meet one of the following conditions: 1. Schools, public institutions for social education and culture; 2. Tourist hotels; 3. Tourism and amusement operators; 4. Performance event operators; 5. Cultural and educational foundations; 6. Performing arts groups, academic cultural or artistic organizations; 7. Publishing enterprises; 8. Film enterprises; 9. Wireless, cable, or satellite broadcasting television operators; 10. Government agencies; 11. Embassies, foreign institutions, and international organizations stationed in China. |
The processing time for individual applications for a Taiwan work permit and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) is approximately two to three weeks. The actual working days may vary depending on the case. |
The validity of a work permit and an ARC ranges from 1 – 3 years, with a maximum of 3 years, as determined by the Taiwan Workforce Development Agency and the Immigration agency. Extensions can be applied for before expiry, with each extension period lasting up to three years. |
1. A copy of the Taiwan ID Card or passport of the responsible person of the Taiwan company; 2. Copy of the Taiwan company’s business registration certificate, proof of turnover, and if it is a Taiwan representative office, a document proving work performance; 3. A copy of the employment contract (which should include the name, nationality, job title, job description, salary compensation, employment period, and signatures from both parties); 4. For cases applying for short-term public performances (within 30 days) where an employment contract is not used, an invitation letter or email correspondence sufficient to prove the relationship and intentions between the parties must be provided, which should include the name of the employed foreign national, job description, salary compensation, and period of employment. 5. An original and one photocopy of the foreign employee's passport. 6. An activity plan for the period of employment of the foreign national (should specify itinerary, specific job description, and timings); 7. Documentation or detailed work achievements proving the foreign national's engagement in performance or artistic work during the employment period; 8. A document proving residence in Taiwan; 9. Three 2-inch passport-size photos taken within the last six months. |
