Pursuant to the United States Immigration and Nationality Act, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa, either a non-immigrant visa for a temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. Visitor visas are nonimmigrant visas for persons who wish to enter the United States on a temporary basis for business (B-1 visa), for tourism or medical treatment (B-2 visa), or for a combination of both purposes (B-1/B-2 visa). Personal or domestic helpers or employees may also apply for a B-1 visitor visa to work in the United States for an employer in limited situations.

Kaizen’s processing of the application generally takes 6 to 8 working days but may be extended depending on the client’s cooperation and circumstances. United States B-1/B-2 Visa Application Fees

Our handling fee for assisting a client for a U.S. B-1/B-2 visa application is USD1,280. It is inclusive of the government visa fee.

In particular, our fee also covers the following services:

1. General guidance regarding the U.S. B-1/B-2 visa application;

2. Scheduling of visa interview at the U.S. Consulate or Embassy.

3. Application status reporting to the client;

4. Liaising with the U.S. Consulate or Embassy;

5. Filling out application forms and submitting the B-1/B-2 application to U.S. Department of State visa application center;

6. Administrative assistance with the preparation of supporting documents;

1. The fees stated are exclusive of delivery charges, document translation fees, notarization fees, etc., if any.

2. Kaizen’s U.S. B1/B2 visa services aim to reduce clients’ administrative workload by assisting with the application process. 3. Kaizen will assist in the completion of DS-160 online application form, which shall then be digitally signed and submitted by the applicant.

4. Legal advice from a U.S. immigration lawyer is available upon request. An additional professional fee will apply, which is not included in Kaizen’s U.S. B1/B2 handling fee.

5. The outcome of the U.S. B1/B2 visa application cannot be guaranteed and is subject to changes in government policies. The consular officer has absolute discretion to refuse any application on behalf of the U.S. Department of State even if the application meets all eligibility criteria.

Payment Term and Method

Upon receipt of confirmation of engagement, we will issue an invoice and email it together with detailed wire instructions to you. Because of the nature of services, we require full payment in advance. In addition, once service is commenced, no service fees will be refunded. We currently only accept check, cash or TT and credit card payment through PayPal. If invoice is settled by PayPal, an extra 5% service fee will be charged.

If Taiwan uniform invoice is required, a Business Tax at 5% of the invoiced amount will be charged and collected.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The purpose of the trip is to enter the United States temporarily for business, pleasure or medical treatment;
2. The applicant plans to remain in the United States for a specific, limited time period;
3. The applicant’s employer meets certain qualification (where applicable);
4. Evidence of funds to cover expenses in the United States;
5. The applicant has a residence outside the United States as well as social and economic ties that will ensure his/her departure from the United States at the end of the visit.

Procedures and Timeline

Kaizen's processing of the application generally takes 6 to 8 working days but may be extended depending on the client’s cooperation and circumstances. Processing times begin once all required supporting documentation are received by Kaizen. An expedited processing is available for qualified applications and upon request. A rush fee will apply.

Further note that the interview booking time cannot be guaranteed and is highly dependent on each U.S. Embassy or Consulate’s workload and policies. The embassy or consulate may also request additional evidence to complete the adjudication, in which case the processing time will be prolonged.

It is recommended that you do not finalize travel plans until you receive the approved visa.  Kaizen, or any of its staff or representative, will not be held liable for any loss incurred as a result or arising out of the visa not being approved, issued or delivered in time for your travel plans.

Documents and Information Needed

1. Passport biographic page (your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your period of stay in the United States). Each individual who needs a visa must submit a separate application, including any family members listed in your passport;
2. Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160 confirmation page;
3. Application fee payment receipt;
4. Photograph meeting the USCIS Photograph Requirements (if the photo upload fails during the DS-160 application, you must bring one printed photo in the format explained in the Photograph Requirements);
5. Intent to depart the United States after the trip;
6. Ability to pay all costs of the trip;
7. Document to support the purpose of the trip.

• Current proof of income, tax payments, property or business ownership, or assets;
• Travel itinerary and/or other explanation about the planned trip;
• A letter from employer detailing applicants’ position, salary, how long have been employed, any authorized vacation, and the business purpose;
• Criminal/court records pertaining to any arrest or conviction anywhere
• Parents applying for a visa for a child under the age of 14 should bring with them the child’s birth certificate to prove the parent-child relationship.

• Evidence of applicants’ position in the company and remuneration.

• Employment letter from applicants’ employer and pay slips from the most recent three months.

• Photocopies of the relative's proof of status (e.g. Green Card, naturalization certificate, valid visa, etc).

• Applicants’ latest school results, transcripts, and degrees/diplomas
• Evidence of financial support (e.g. monthly bank statements, fixed deposit slips, etc).

• Any documents attesting to applicants’ immigration or visa status

• A medical diagnosis from a local physician explaining the nature of  applicants’ ailment and the reason of requiring treatment in the United States; and
• A letter from a physician or medical facility in the United States expressing a willingness to treat this specific ailment and detailing the projected length and cost of treatment (including doctors' fees, hospitalization fees, and all medical-related expenses); and
• A statement of financial responsibility from the individuals or organization paying for applicants’ transportation, medical and living expenses; and
• The individuals guaranteeing payment of these expenses must provide proof of their ability to do so, often in the form of bank or other statements of income/savings or certified copies of income tax returns.

USCIS reserves the right to demand further documents from the applicant or employing company as and when necessary. All submitted documents must be either in English or translated into English by a certified translation body.
